“During this time of diminishing budgets, the Business Office works to ensure that monies are spent with a focus on accuracy, needs assessments and responsible reporting to our constituents to guarantee that we effectively negotiate contracts, discounts and maximize every dollar. In doing so, our commitment to support the students and staff is critical so that they can focus on fulfilling the district mission statement: to create confident, successful and responsible citizens by providing quality education and training in a safe and supportive environment.”
–Â Kathleen Manning, Director of Business ServicesÂ

K-12 News
Welcome to the new K-12 News videos! Recently our Governing Board added a District goal to improve customer service. In this light, the Business Office took up the challenge of improving customer service by giving you another learning tool on how to navigate the paperwork process to get what you need. Take a look at our videos for a new slant on how to get where you want to go. We’ve also added a broadcast on Health Savings Accounts. And finally, we’ll end the year with an interview with the high school and how to better work with the bookstore.
Thanks for taking the time to watch our fun videos! Together we can make these processes easier so that you can focus on your core job – the education of our great students.

Classroom Site Fund
When voters approved Proposition 301 in November 2000, a special Classroom Site Fund was set up to receive the additional sales tax revenue that was earmarked for education. Funding is distributed to Arizona school districts for specified purposes, primarily increasing teacher pay.
The Report to the Arizona Legislature provides information on how much revenue school districts spent through fiscal year 2007 on classroom personnel, instructional supplies and aids, field trips, co-curricular activities and athletics. Data for this report come directly from each district’s Annual Financial Report. Scroll through this report for more information on classroom funding in general and Payson Schools specifically.
