Welcome to Frontier Elementary School,

I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful community.  This is a wonderful educational setting where teachers are dedicated to the learning and achievements of every child.  This will be a year of growth and high expectations.  The teachers will be chalIenging the students, and their successes will be celebrated.  The children are eager to learn and display  positive attitudes.

Our school prides itself on promoting the Six Pillars of Character: Respect, Responsibility, Caring, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, and Fairness.  The children are given out a Frontier Cheer when they are observed displaying one or more of these character traits.  Each week, two students who received Frontier Cheers are drawn from each class and come up to the office to receive a prize.  Each Friday, the Student Council runs a Flag Ceremony in which we all recite the Pledge of Allegiance, sing a patriotic song, observe a moment of silence, recite the Character Counts Pledge, enthusiastically perform the "Wolf Stomp," and listen to any announcements.  One Wednesday a month we have our assembly where award certificates such as Wonderful Wolf Award, Kiwanis Club Terrific Kid Awards, and Pillar of Power Character Awards will be presented.  Parents are always invited to celebrate in their child's successes by attending the assembly.

Our school is enduring some change due to the override not passing and the cut in our school budget.  We will be sharing two wonderful PE teachers, Donna Moore and Judy Perham, with the other two elementary schools.  Our library will have a full time aide, Brenda McAllister, which will be a nice addition to our school.  We have Katy Goldman, a former FES teacher, returning to teach fifth grade.  Gina Brooks will be teaching Special Education.  We are excited about our new additions and know that they will fit in with our wonderful FES staff.

Dedicated teachers, staff, administration, parents, and volunteers have worked and continue to work hard to make Frontier Elementary School something we are all proud of.  We look forward to meeting you and welcome you to our FES family.
